The Balcaen family, the owner of the Belgian carpet manufacturer BALTA INDUSTRIES (turnover in excess of 460 million EUR in 2003 with 3,500 staff, including 3,200 in Belgium), has sold the business to investment company DOUGHTY HANSON for 600 million EUR.
