The British EXEL has launched a friendly takeover bid for its rival TIBBETT AND BRITTEN for 328 million pounds sterling, thus shoring up its position as world logistics leader. EXEL, with its 74,000 employees, provides logistics services to 70% of the 250 biggest distributors in the world, is offering 668 pence per share.
