18/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Union, concerned at the humanitarian crisis and the sheer scale violations of human rights in Darfur, urged Khartoum to ensure access to humanitarian aid and disarm the militia. In the conclusions adopted on Friday, the European Council welcomed the 8 April ceasefire and urged all parties to reach a political agreement as soon as possible.
