Italian deficit, BEPG and negotiation with Switzerland on agenda of meeting of Finance Ministers

Brussels, 10/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Ecofin Council to meet on Tuesday in Brussels under the chairmanship of Irish Minister Charlie McCreevy will be the first to officially bring together the 25 Finance Ministers of the enlarged Europe. The impact of 1 May will already be felt on two questions: - uncertainty of the result of the vote by 25 on Italian deficit (see other article) and the delays entailed for translation of the "transparency" directive into 20 languages.
