30/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - To celebrate enlargement, the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) will take part in a public event for the first time this Saturday: the Open Day of the EU institutions in Brussels. In the meantime, OLAF will strengthen its cooperation in the new member states and the candidate countries. Over the next two months, OLAF will organise 14 seminars aimed at auditors, controllers of Community funds and legal and intelligence experts in those countries. Since January 2001, around a thousand auditors, intelligence experts, controllers of Community funds, legal experts and other civil servants from the new member states and candidate countries have taken part in 26 seminars, training sessions and workshops organised by OLAF.
