Commission supports consolidation of air sector with green light to merger between KLM and Air FRANCE

Brussels, 12/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - As anticipated (yesterday's EUROPE, p.14), the Commission has given permission for the airlines Air France and KLM to merge, an operation giving rise to the largest airline in Europe and the world in terms of turnover.
