20/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to a report published on 19 January by Eurostat, there were nearly 2 million graduates in the EU in 2001, i.e., on average, 40 new graduates for every 1000 inhabitants aged from 20 to 29. In the acceding countries, the figure was 630,000 new graduates, i.e. 55 per 1000 population aged 20-29.
