14/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - When asked about good candidates for the Presidency of the next Commission on F3 on Tuesday, Jacques Delors first of all named Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Jean-Luc Juncker (Christian Democrat), then the Greek Socialist Prime Minister Costas Simitis (who is to pass the baton to the new Pasok leader, George Papandreou, after the elections of 7 March), and lastly, former Belgian Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene (Christian Democrat). As for the failure of the IGC on the European Constitution, the former Commission President said that after "the threats of some and the provocative words of others", the debate should be "calmed down".
