Commission jointly finances "BONUS" project for support and better coordination of environmental research in Baltic Sea region

Brussels, 14/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Commission announced it would support a new project lasting four years to improve the environment and sustainable development in the Baltic Sea region. The EU's contribution amounts to over EUR 3 million. The project, known as "BONUS", aims to coordinate the research programmes of Baltic Sea rim countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia) in order to better study issues such as pollution,...
