"Culture 2000" grants over 30 million EUR in subsidies to 201 projects in 2003, including 98 in performing arts

Brussels, 15/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - In 2003, the "Culture 2000" programme of the European Commission awarded over 30 million EUR in subsidies to 201 projects, including 98 in performing arts, this year's priority. The Culture 2000 programme supports projects in all fields of art, cultural heritage, books, reading and translation, points out Frédéric Vincent, spokesperson of Commissioner Viviane Reding, in a press release.
