The third largest French banking group has been created from a merger between CDC - CAISSE DES DEPOTS ET CONSIGNATIONS and CAISSES D'EPARGNE. The deal includes the merger of CNCE - CAISSE NATIONALE DES CAISSES D'EPARGNE and EULIA, the holding company that brought together the investment banking activities of the two groups. The CAISSES D'EPARGNE will hold 35% of the new CNCE while the CDC will hold 35% of the new venture.
