Intergovernmental Conference opens in Rome this Saturday - Seven Prime Ministers want all subject to be dealt with

Brussels, 03/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Heads of State and Government of the European Union and the acceding countries and the President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, will open the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) in Rome this Saturday, which should conclude the process started by the European Convention.

The Italian Presidency has not set any particular agenda for this meeting, to start at 10am, but the discussions will doubtless focus on issues of principles and organisation...
