- Poland: Foreign Direct Investment in Poland reached $2.53 billion during the first half of 2003 out of the 8 billion expected this year, stated the governmental agency for foreign investment (PAIZ). From the beginning of economic changes in Poland in 1989 till end June 2003, investment totalled $68.3 billion. With nearly 20% of all investment, i.e. $12.52 billion, France remains the largest investor before the Netherlands (8.9 billion) and the United States (8.28 billion).
