Brussels, 01/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The EP Intergroup on the social economy, chaired by Marie-Hélène Gillig, is jointly organising with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on 7 October in Brussels a seminar on the theme "Mutual Societies in an Enlarged Europe". Points on the agenda include: 1) a European statute for mutual societies: - the mutual sector in Europe: its characteristics, its expectations; and- 2) the place and the role of mutual societies with a view to enlargement.
