30/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Following the agreement reached on 18 September at management committee level (see EUROPE of 19 September 2003, p.13), the European Commission on Tuesday adopted a regulation on the reduction by 215,513 tonnes of EU sugar production quotas for the season 2003/2004 (-206,646 tonnes for white sugar, -4,291 tonnes for isoglucose and -4,576 tonnes for inulin syrup).
