30/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - To move in the direction of the European Union, Balkan states must step up the fight against organised crime and corruption, said Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini after a meeting of the EU Troika with Albanian officials in Rome on Monday. According to a press release, the Troika renewed the EU's commitment to supporting the integration of west Balkan states and stressed the importance of the stability process.
