04/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - After Poland last week (see EUROPE of 28 June, p.14), it is with the Czech Republic that the Commission began negotiations on Thursday with a view to planning regional aid that this future Member State will receive over the first three years (2004-2006). Among the ten acceding countries, the Czech Republic will be the third largest beneficiary of the Structural and Cohesion Funds (after Poland and Hungary).
