Brussels, 04/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the green light to a joint venture between ThyssenKrupp Technik and HSP Hoesch Spundwand und Profil, subsidiaries of German steel companies ThyssenKrupp and Salzgitter respectively. Renamed ThyssenKrupp Bautechnik, the joint venture will be active in world wide marketing and distribution of hot rolled piles and sheet piling produced by HSP and will take over ThyssenKrupp's former Bautechnik business comprising excavation, anchoring and associated civil engineering works. The Commission's investigation showed that the activities of the joint venture do not overlap with those of any of its parents and, therefore, the transaction will not result in any increment of market shares.
