Not worrying about euro's rise or deflation risks, but counting on upturn in growth in next six months

Luxembourg, 03/06/2003, (Agence Europe) - After their meeting in Luxembourg on Monday evening, chaired by Nikos Christodoulakis, the Eurozone finance and economics ministers confirmed that they were expecting to see an upturn in economic growth in the second half of the year and repeated their assertions of last May that a strong euro is in the interest of the Eurozone. Eurogroup is brushing aside the risk of the deflation for the moment because of the weak economic climate.
