First draft articles of future Convention will be significantly amended by Convention Members from the European Parliament

Strasbourg, 12/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Tuesday morning meeting in Strasbourg of the European Parliament European Convention delegation witnessed the genuine dissatisfaction of a large number of MEPs mainly with the form of some articles, although areas of substance were also criticised. The exchange of views seems to indicate that the Praesidium can expect a large number of amendments (see Europe of 7 February, p.5 and 8 February, p.5).
