28/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Regulators Group (ERG) held its second meeting on 23 January 2003 in Amsterdam. It was set up in order to provide an interface between the National Regulatory Authorities and the European Commission for implementing new Community regulation. Candidate Countries were present for the first time at the meeting, where the Work Programme for 2003 was adopted: priority will be given to those issues relating to the new regulatory framework which needs to be transposed into national laws by the end of July.
