Brussels, 08/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - As expected (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.11), on 8 January the European Commission adopted a recommendation urging the EcoFin Council of 21 January to decide that Germany certainly is in a situation of excessive budgetary deficit. Also, it presented recommendations in view of opinions by the same Council on Germany's updated stability programme (2002-2006) , as well as those of France (2004-2006), Italy (2004-2006), Greece (2002-2006) and Finland...
