02/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The EPP-ED group has selected Conservative Roy Perry as its candidate to succeed Jacob Söderman as European Ombudsman. Roy Perry has been an MEP since 1994. The new Ombudsman will be elected on 14 January 2003 by the plenary.
