13/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Israel has appointed a new Ambassador to the EU, Mr Oded Eran, who will present his letter of appointment next Monday. Mr Eran has already taken part in peace negotiations: Ambassador to Jordan between 1997 and 2000, he followed the peace process as Foreign Affairs Minister between 1977 and 1982 and then in 2000-2002 as Head of the team that negotiated with the Palestinians.
