05/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Constitutional Commission that has formally to approve the political agreement reached between the Serb and Montenegrin leaders on the Constitutional Charter (leading to the creation of the future State of Serbia and Montenegro) is to meet for the second time on Friday. The first meeting, which was held on Tuesday, did not lead to positive vote because of the representatives of the opposition pro-Serb party, the SNP. Furthermore, the first round of presidential elections will be held Sunday in Serbia. The first elections were annulled due to the low turnout (Serb legislation demands a turnout of at least 50%). The candidates are Vojislav Kostunica (President of Yugoslavia) and two Serb nationalists, Vojislav Seselj (SRS) and Borislav Pelevic (SSJ).
