13/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Danish Presidency is keen to point out that the Chechen conflict was mentioned on several occasions during the EU/Russia Summit on Monday by the President of the European council, Anders Fogh Rasmussen (see EUROPE yesterday p 9). On Wednesday, Jean-Christophe Filori, spokesman for Commissioner Verheugen and speaking on behalf of the Commission, described the remarks of President Putin to a French journalist during a press conference at the close of the Summit...
