Brussels, 20/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - As we have pointed out before, the Parliamentary Committee on Women's Rights is organising for 1 October a public hearing on breast cancer that will mainly focus on prevention, early diagnosis and the setting in place of multidisciplinary centres. The hearing will be opened by the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee, Greek national Anna Karamanou, and German Social Democrat Karin Jöns, who took the initiative. Participants will include Commissioner David Byrne, Professor Jan Hendriks (radiology unit at the Nijmegen university hospital), Professor Luigi Cataliotti, President of EUSOMA, Doctor Marita Eisenmann-Klein (Caritas Hospital, Regensburg), Professor Erik van Limbergen (Department for Radiation Oncology, University of Leuven) and Stella Kyriakides, Vice-President of Europa Donna.
