Brussels, 09/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to a joint venture for gas related logistic services between RWE Gas (a subsidiary of the German RWE group) and Lattice International (subsidiary of UK based Lattice International). The operation will create a new company, viavera, which will offer gas related logistic services in Europe. According o the Commission, the investigation decided that the activities of the new joint venture would not have anti-competitive effects as several European gas companies already have the necessary know-how and facilities to enter the gas related logistic services market, which has recently been liberalised.
