Climbing Mont Blanc to support proposed CAP reforms

Brussels, 07/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - Three members of the Belgian Rangers organisation climbed to the top of Mont Blanc yesterday (4,807 meters high) to protest against any attempts to block reform of the CAP, particularly by France. The Belgian NGO stress that Commissioner Fischler's proposals were, "a step in the right direction but national agricultural ministers must not water them down but instead take them further".
