05/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Danish European minister Bertel Haarder, speaking on the fringes of the Committee of the Regions session to which he had been invited to present the Danish Presidency's programme (see Europe of 3 July, p.17), said that they wanted to concentrate on enlargement and not mix up the two issues, hence the Presidency would attend to close the regional policy chapter of the accession negotiations but would not be looking at reforming regional policy after 2006.
