6 million euro for victims of conflicts in Africa and Asia

Brussels, 07/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to grant humanitarian aid to several countries for a total of some 6 million euro. Here is the distribution of funds allocated: India: €2 million for victims of the conflict in Kashmir, the victims of violence in Gujarat and Sri Lankan refugees; Sri Lanka: €1.5 million to help displaced persons exposed to anti-personnel mines, and women and children; - Uganda €1.2 million for victims of local conflicts and...
