Parliament calls for fish processing industry to genuinely taken into account

Brussels, 18/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - Last Thursday in Strasbourg the European Parliament adopted the own initiative report by Brigitte Langenhagen (EPP-ED, Germany) on the European fish processing industry, which again regrets that the European Commission "paid little attention" to the sector in its Green Paper on the future of the Common Fisheries Policy. To remedy this situation, the EP calls for the importance of the fish processing sector to be fully taken into account in the reform...
