Spanish hotel chain NH HOTELES (EUR 762 million turnover in 2001 with 184 hotels specialising in business travel) is to buy 80% of Germany's third largest hotel chain ASTRON HOTEL (EUR 189 million turnover in 2001 with 53 hotels) for EUR 130 million, half of which in shares. NH HOTELES also has the option of buying the remaining 20% stake.
