Brussels, 20/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to the European Small business Alliance, after the meeting on 20 February of representatives of European SMEs with Commissioner Erkki Liikanen (see EUROPE of 1 and 20 February), the representatives of four British associations of SMEs (all part of UK SME), namely Small Business Europe, the British Chambers of Commerce, the Forum of Private Business and the Federation of Small Business, have issued a joint document of priorities for the Barcelona Summit. Their priorities include better regulation; better SME representation at European level; access to credit; and internet security. The document is based on the European SMEs Charter and has been sent to heads of state and ministers in charge of SME policy (who are holding a Council meeting on 22/24 February). (For further info:
