20/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - Viviane Reding, European Commissioner responsible for Education and Culture took part in the inauguration of "Brugge, European City of Culture, 2002", in Brugge on 20 February. The Spanish city of Salamanca (Castillia) was also handed this title for 2002.
