07/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - The High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, has called for the release of journalist Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal correspondent kidnapped in Pakistan on 23 January. Mr Solana said he was "confident that the Pakistani authorities" would "spare no effort to obtain his release".
