28/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has pointed out that it had been informed by Belgium on Friday, via the Community early warning system, that a chicken feed was contaminated by PCB. The incident, which is restricted to just a few Belgian farms that have been swiftly brought under control, would only concern Belgium and would therefore be without gravity compared to the crisis of dioxin contamination in 1999.
