Commission highlights requirements for healthcare for the elderly

Brussels, 04/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Using the written procedure, the European Commission agreed on Wednesday on a Communication on the future of healthcare and care for the elderly - access for all, high quality and financial sustainability - in the form of a policy paper that will be sent on to the Barcelona European Council in Spring 2002 and ultimately feed into the EU's annual Broad Economic Policy Guidelines.
