Negotiations on stock management in North East Atlantic fail over blue whiting - agreement on herring and mackerel

Brussels, 14/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - During the annual meeting of the North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC), held in London on Tuesday, the contracting parties once more managed to overcome their differences over the sharing of Total Allowable Catches (TACs) for blue whiting. They reached an agreement on the management of TACs for mackerel and herring.
