31/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - US President George W. Bush has decided to appoint a Californian businessman originally from the Netherlands to be the US envoy to the European Union. He is Rockwell Schnabel, former senior official at the US Trade Department. Mr Schable, whose appointment has still to be approved by the Senate, is currently Vice-President of the Trident Capital group.
