GAZ DE FRANCE (GDF) announced on Wednesday that it had bought the shares of the German electricity group RWE (44.93%) in the capital of EMB, natural gas distributor in Postdam (Land of Brandenburg), which the French operator now controls to the tune of 80%, the remaining 20% being held by the German gas company VNG. GDF has handed this stake in EMB to GASAG, its Berlin natural gas distribution subsidiary. Last year, EMB had a turnover of 170 million euro.
