ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

The French oil group TOTALFINAELF has just acquired the remaining shares (50%) it still did not have in a liquified petrol gas (LPG) marketing company that it had hitherto shared with its French partner AIR LIQUIDE. The company's business represents 140,000 tonnes of butane and propane marketed in 2000 for a turnover of some 68.5 million euro. The business will be integrated within TOTALGAZ, subsidiary of TOTALFINAELF responsible for marketing LPG.
