17/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - The German Government has decided to introduce tolls from 2003 on its motorways for heavy goods vehicles of at least 12 tonnes. The bill, that the Bundestag should be voting on early 2002, has led to criticisms on the part of the opposition. The European Commission must examine whether this bill complies with European legislation.
