EIC network takes part in ECB campaign

Brussels, 08/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - The network of 282 Euro Info Centres (EICs) is, from 3 August, participating in the ECB's Euro 2000 campaign, and this partner, a European commission press release emphasises, "will help enhance the impact of communication initiatives by both the European Central Bank and the Commission" in view of the introduction of the euro. The campaign, the press release adds, "will mostly benefit millions of SMEs in contact with the EICs", and especially "retailers, who will play a key role in the introduction of euro notes and coins".

The press release recalls that on 1 September, with the "unveiling of the security features of euro notes and coins", the Euro 2000 campaign "will be further upgraded, to reach an even broader audience".
