06/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - Roberto Nigido, Italy's Permanent Representative to the EU, has been replaced by Umberto Vattani, Secretary General of Farnesina (whom Giuseppe Baldocci succeeds). Roberto Nigido, who was only in Brussels for a few months, was diplomatic advisor to Romano Prodi when the latter was the chief of the Italian Government.
