Meeting of economic and social committees

Brussels, 18/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - A delegation from the European Economic and Social Committee (ESC), composed of Roberto Confalonieri (Chair of the Euromed follow-up committee), Susanna Florio and Robert Pelletier, met on 6 and 7 last in Tel Aviv with the members of the new Israeli Economic and Social Council. Discussions mainly covered Israel's attitude regarding the Barcelona Process and future cooperation between the Israeli and the European ESCs.
