ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) hotels

The British COMPASS (catering) sold its hotels LE MERIDIEN the Japanese investment bank NOMURA, thus putting a final end to the sale of the FORTE hotels, which brought a total of GBP 3.26 billion (see EI of 18 October 2000). COMPASS sold the 128 hotels LE MERIDIEN to GRAND HOTELS ACQUISITION COMPANY, subsidiary of NORMURA, for GBP 1.9 billion.
