The Italian electricity group ENEL put forward its candidacy for the acquisition of POWERGEN, a British water distribution company. This company supplies drinking water to more than 1 million customers and treats wastewater from 2 million people in the South East of England. According to the daily Sunday Business, ENEL is offering GBP 800 million.
