18/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish EU Council Presidency has proposed that the ACP Group make a joint EU-ACP declaration to launch a new appeal for ratification of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change. After a positive opinion from the Secretariat General of the ACP Group, the proposal of declaration should be approved by the ACP Council. The latter may intervene during the meeting on 8-10 May in Brussels.
