In the battle involving HIDROCANTABRICO, the Belgian company ELECTRABEL has announced it will be selling its stake in the Spanish utility "to the highest bidder", i.e. the FERROATLANTICA group that, in co-operation with the German company ENBW (the EDF group), has put in the best offer. (See IE of April 4 and 7.)
